Federico ‘Larroca’ La Rocca is an Assistant Professor at the Engineering School of the Universidad de la República (Uruguay). He was a research engineering (PostDoc) at Telecom ParisTech (ex ENST) during the first quarter of 2010, where he obtained his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Networking under the advisoring of Prof. Jean-Louis Rougier in December 2009. He received the degree in Telecommunication Engineering in 2006 from the Universidad de la República, with a thesis concerning the development of a propagation model and loss prediction software for cellular signals in suburban and urban environments. From 2004 to 2011 he held a teaching assistant position at the Universidad de la República.

His current research interests are related to the analysis and modeling of communication systems, and development on Software Defined Radio.

Quick note:  In 2014, after several years since the procedure was first started, my family name was changed from Larroca to La Rocca. However, I still keep my old name in my articles and academic work.
